This is Herman, Max's best friend. Herman is a lobster. (Max is not the sharpest cheese on the cracker.)
This is Max's supper dish. Max does not like to see the bottom of his supper dish. It's just not funny.
One day Max was looking out the window.
He ran out onto the balcony...
through the railing...
and jumped down into the yard.
Before he knew it he was far away from home.
He came to the road.
Which way to go?
He went into the woods.
Sophie was worried sick.
Max was in the woods for two days and two nights.
Early on the second morning he came out of a culvert...
and saw...home!
Max couldn't open the window...
But he could smell pizza cooling on the screen porch. Pepperoni.
The screen was closed.
!!!
Sophie was watching out for Max.
Home at last.
